Happy Birthday Scouting

5 Feb

I probably told the story of W.D. Boyce a hundred times last year, once each for the number of years we celebrated. I take a lot of pride in sharing the history of our movement with young Scouts and new parents. It helps to remind our young people that we are a part of something so much bigger than our pack or troop, our small town or community or church family… The story also serves as an example of how one small act, one good deed, can indeed change the world… as has for me.

Thank you to that one lone, unknown Scout.

Scout Sunday takes on new meaning as we enter the next 100 years of Scouting. How will you or your troop celebrate? Let us know in the comments below or post some pictures of your event over the next month here on our facebook fan page

See you out there!
